Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrival.
You will be picked by our driver guide at the airport upon arrival then proceed to your booked accommodation. Relax as you organize for the next day’s activity.
Day 2: Early Morning Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national Park
After breakfast, our driver guide will pick you up from your hotel and set off from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have a Stopover at the Equator to experience how you can be in both hemispheres at once while taking photograph then embark on the journey reaching Queen Elizabeth Park in the afternoon.
After lunch in the park, you will go for an evening boat ride on the Kazinga Channel which separates Lakes Edward and George, viewing a variety of game on the banks, seen drinking at the water’s edge as Buffalo linger in the shallows and a tremendous variety of birds grace the grasses on the shores including the Great White, Pink-Backed Pelicans, Great and Long-Tailed Cormorants, Open-Billed Stork, African Jacana among others. You will have dinner and overnight stay in the park.
Day 3; Game drive / Chimpanzee tracking
Early morning, you will go for a game drive which will provide you with excellent opportunities to see some of the early raisers including the Uganda Kobs, Spotted Hyena, leopard, antelope, elephant and then drive back to the lodge for a late breakfast.
You will relax around, and then proceed to Kyambura gorge for chimpanzee tracking activity. You will also see a wide range of primate species, birds and butterflies .Dinner and overnight stay in the park.
Day 4; Transfer to Ishasha sector queen Elizabeth N.P tree climbing Lions transfer to Bwindi.
After a morning breakfast at the lodge, guide pick you up and start the journey to the Southern Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park. The way takes you to the cultivated hills, villages and on to the savanna of Ishasha part were you will observe the tree climbing Lion. You will have the Lunch and then transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for Gorilla trekking the following morning.
Drive time: Around 2 hours’ drive.
Day 5: Gorilla Tacking and Nature walk in the afternoon/Relax at the Lodge
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is the home to the forest giants that are cousins to human beings, the mountain gorillas. Today we have reached the highlight of this 8 days Uganda safari, the mountain gorilla trekking. You will be taken in a group by a specialized guide into the jungle for your gorilla trekking adventure. Trek through the beautiful nature and spend one hour with the gorillas, an unforgettable experience. This Impenetrable Forest is also full of birds, butterflies and plant species plus forest hog, forest elephants, statungas and dikers. After the trek your guide picks you and you transfer to Lake Bunyonyi through cultivated hills. After this afternoon drive we check in to a lake 1840m above sea level for some rest.
Day 6. Queen Elizabeth transfer Murchison Falls
Have a morning game drive enroute as you transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. We will pass close to Lake Albert. On a clear day, the view on the top of the Albert rift is spectacular. Continue through the park. Have a game viewing experience en-route to view hippos, elephants, buffalos and a wide range of Birdlife. Dinner and overnight in Murchison falls national park.
Day 7; Game Drive / Boat ride
The day starts with an early morning game drive to the rolling plains where you have chances of viewing Hartebeest, Lions, Buffalo, and primates, Birds, Giraffe and Elephants. Return to the lodge for breakfast, and relax around the swimming pool. Have an afternoon launch cruise to the bottom of the falls where you will see the Nile empting into Lake Albert and views of huge Nile Crocodiles, birds, big Pods of Hippos and wildlife. Dinner and overnight in the park.
Day 8; Top of the falls to Kampala
After breakfast go visit the top of the falls and then later on, embark on your journey to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Ziwa rhino sanctuary where rhinos are being reintroduced to Uganda. Here you will head out on foot for a walking safari to get a look at the rhinos, after trekking continue with the drive towards back to kampala we finalising our 8 days Uganda 8 Days Queen Elizabeth and Murchison falls Africa Big Five safari
